Audio Unit Antenna Cable

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: The original equipment AM/FM/Satellite radio antenna cable(s) are part of the wiring harness and cannot be removed. This procedure refers to replacement of the cable(s) only by overlaying the cable(s).

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Instrument panel antenna cable

1. Remove the ACM
   Refer to: Audio Front Control Module (ACM) (415-00C Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC/Sony Audio System, Removal and Installation).
   

Body antenna cable

1. Lower the headliner.
   Refer to: Headliner (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
   

Installation

1. • Cut the ends off the existing antenna cable(s).
     
   • Route the new antenna cable(s) following the body wiring harness.
     
   • Secure the new antenna cable(s), as necessary, to prevent NVH concerns.
     
   • Reinstall the components removed for access.
