Exterior Rear Door Handle
Removal

WARNING:
Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure
to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Vehicles with push button start
-
Remove the rear door trim panel.
Refer to:
Rear Door Trim Panel
(501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

All vehicles
-
-

Hold the rear door handle open.
-
While turning the release screw 8 turns. The handle will release around 6 to 6.5 turns. You must continue to the full 8 revolutions
for installation.

Remove the rear door handle cover assembly.
Vehicles with push button start
-
NOTICE:
Do not pull the door handle out of the door too far without disconnecting the handle from the connector. Damage to the harness
will occur.
Disconnect the exterior rear door handle connector from the handle from inside the door and remove the exterior rear door
handle.
Vehicles without push button start

Remove the rear exterior door handle.
Installation
Vehicles without push button start
-
Install the rear exterior door handle.
Vehicles with push button start
-
Connect the exterior rear door handle connector to the handle from inside the door and partially install the rear door handle
in the rear door opening.
All vehicles
-

Install the rear door handle cover assembly to the door.

Apply light pressure to the door handle while turning the release screw 8 turns. The handle will engage and go in around 6
to 6.5 turns. You must continue to the full 8 revolutions for installation then torque to the specified value.
Torque
:
7 Nm

Vehicles with push button start

Install the rear door trim panel.
