Telematic Control Unit Module (TCU)

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

    Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

  1. NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

    Upload the TCU configuration information to the scan tool by following the scan tool on-screen instructions.
  1. Remove the parcel shelf.
    Refer to: Parcel Shelf (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
  1. Torque : 5 Nm

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedcure.
  1. Download the module configuration information from the scan tool to the new TCU following the scan tool on-screen instructions.
